The European Union might “act quickly and firmly” against what it calls “unjustified” travel bans issued by the US against five Europeans involved in fighting digital hatred and misinformation, an EU official has said.
EU Officials Decry US Move as ‘Intimidation’
European leaders such as the French president accused the US administration of “bullying and threats”, after the visa restrictions were placed on individuals that were central to efforts to introduce laws governing American tech companies.

The bans were imposed this week against a former EU commissioner involved in crafting the EU’s Digital Services Act (DSA), as well as four activists fighting false information, from Germany and the United Kingdom.
